If you are tranfering stock from 1 plant to another plant
means you are debiting liability from one department and
crediting to another department only (some time 1 segment
to another)because invenoty belongs to same comany
But when you are transfering stock from one company to
another (i.e cross company transfer ) here libility and
inventoy is being tranfer. so company has to pay tax to
Goverment accordingly

For same Company Code: Stock transfer from plant to plant
affects both accounting and Materials Planning, as follows:
Accounting
Accounting is affected if both plants are assigned to
different valuation areas. This means that a stock transfer
leads not only to a quantity update but also to a value
update (stock value, G/L accounts). Thus, parallel to the
material document for stock transfer, an accounting
document is created.
For different Company codes:
During the stock transfer, two accounting documents are
created in addition to the material document:
An accounting document for the removal from storage at the
issuing company code.
An accounting document for the placement into storage at
the receiving company code.
The stock posting is offset against a company code clearing
account

Hi,
The difference depends on the valuation level that is
maintained. Meaning whether the valuation is done in the
company code level or in the plant level.
Based on this setting the creation of accounting document
and the material document will vary.

if we see the definition of stocktransfer it is movement of
goods takes places from one state to another, there are two
major part of stock transfer (1) there should be
registeration of branch and it should be add in branches
list in registeration certificate. (2) there should be role
of "F" form. This form is issued by the party to whom
delievery of stock transfer received, and it is issued to
that party by whom stock transfer being forwarded.Stock
transfer cannot be processed within state if we want to
stock transfer within state it could be done
upon "delievery challan"

While transfering the stock from one plant to another
plant, then you have to raise an invoice inclusives of all
taxes depends upon the state and province.
Stock transfer is misleading word rather you say debit and
credit with inclusive of all bills/invoices to different
allocation.

Why is the receipt of the goods imported to a company?
Dear Sir I have one query regarding subcontracting Our firm provides blank paper to one vendor for printing work and takes it back after printing. The vendor is not sending the printed paper in a single slot, he send it in part by part. For example we send the blank paper 1000Kg for printing paper. Subcontracting vendor send it back after printing in the slot of 400 kg, 300kg and 250kg…..he tells us that remaining 50kg is wasted during printing and cutting process. We are not taking back the scarp material…we come to know finally about the qty wastage after the last qty receive and respective invoice made. So pls guide me to map this scenario in SAP. In our firm both the printed paper and blank paper lies in Raw material and raw material is non- valuated in our firm. I also tried it from my side. I created one Bom (cs01) Then I create the subcontracting Po putting the material and component provide. With cost centre and g/l account. (me21n) Then I provide the component to vendor (MB1B with mvt type – 541) Then I do the GRN for 400 and 300 and respective Invoice verification But at the time of final invoice and GRN we came to know that the qty is reduced. If we do GRN for 250kg, then the PO is still open for 50kg..And we are not taking back this 50Kg as it’s wasted during printing and cutting operations. Pls guide me map this scenario.
