what is skin effect and why is it absent in DC systems
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
alternating current produces alternating magnetic flux inside and around the conductor. this flux produces counter emf to oppose the change in current. this effect is more at the center of conductor. so electrons tend to flow through surface. In DC there will not be any alternating magnetic field and so no Skin effect is not observed.

skin effect is because of rms current flowing through the conductor. ac current flows through the surface of the conductor where as in case of dc conductor it is not surface current.
