calibration means whether instruments working properly or not where as standerdisation means finding the exact strength value of concered solution

Calibration is related to instrument
Stantardisation is related to the solution
In calibration we check the instrument performance wether working or not by using the standards
1 ml of kf reagent is required to neutralise 5 mg of water so the kf strength is near 5 mg/ml
Actually the kf reagent consist of so2 and I so I present in kf is not stable so we need to check the solution strength daily morning or when ever kf solution is changed

Yeah It should be cleared that we do Standardization of Solution and We calibrate to instrument not any Chemical solution.
We find out the unknown concentration of solution by using the known concentration solution, The exact strength of the solution.
Through the calibration we find out whether the perticuler instrument working properly or not to any specific test.

The KF solution contains Iodine. Which will liberate from the solution. So When Iodine is liberate from the solution the strength of the solution will dicrease. One molicule of iodine will react to one molecule of water. For determining the Iodine strength we have to standardise.
Calibration is a periodic review point to check whether the instrument is working properly or not.
KF factor shold not be equal 5 at every time. The molarity may differ for hygroscopic materils. The diluted KF is having 2.5 as a factor.

1ml of KF reagent consumes 5mg of water minimum....so its factor is near 5.
You can see this relation on KF reagent bottle.
