plastering with a thickness of 12 mm..total area need to be
plaster is 985 sqm

Answer / ashish
Area to be covered 985 sqm
thickness = 12mm
total cubic meter of work to be done = 985*.012 = 11.82 cum
cement sand ratio = 1:4
Cement to be consumed i Volume = 11.82*1/5 = 2.364 cum
Weight of Cement used = 2.364 * 1440 (density of cement) = 3404kg
no of bags used = 3404/50 = 68 bags (approx)

Answer / eakub.molla
Total area=985m2
thickness of plaster=12mm=.012m
wet volume of plaster morter=985*.012=11.82m3
dry volume of morter=11.82*1.5=17.73m3
volume of cement=17.73/5=3.546m3
volume of sand=14.184m3
cement bag=3.54/.03542 bags
=100 bags.

ACTUALLY I THINK
1 CUM = 35.315 CFT
12mm = .5"/ .039 feet /.012 M
so. 12 mm thick plastering = 1/ 0.012 = 83.33 Sqm
for 1 Cum cement required is in 1:4
1/4*1440 = 288 Kgs.
so, for 83.33 Sqm we need 288 kgs of cement & 288*4 = 1,152
Kgs. of sand multiply the amount with 985 & divide it by 83.33
3,404 Kgs. of Cement = 68 Bags.

brother in your answer plz clearly define this step
10598.6*0.5=5299.3cft
1/5*1440=288 kg\
and why cement quantity is equal to sand quantity.?

Answer / karthikeyan
1" = 25.4mm so,
12mm = 0.5"
total area = 985 sqm
1 sqm = 10.76 sqft
985 sqm = 10598.6 sqm
10598.6*0.5 = 5299.3 cuft(149.97 cum)
for 1 cum (1:4)1/5*1440 = 288 kg so
149.97*288 = 43191.36 kg
50 kg = 1 bag, so
863 bag cement is required
1 m^3 cement = 1 m^3 sand s0 863kg sand is
required
