Dear P.Kalivada 100KVA transformers total power (3 phase) is 100KUA one phase give 33KVA, Phase voltag is 11/1.732 = 6351 volt therefore current is 33000/6351=5.1 amp (at unit pf). You can see a name plate of 100KUA 11KV/433v tranrsformer it is written 5 amp as HT Current and 133 amp as LT side current you can verify any tranformer whose primary voltage is 11KV it's current is approximately to #/20 and secondary side of 433V it's current is approxhmately to # +#/3 ( # is how much KVA)

HT side current = #/20 LT side current =#+#/3 ie 100KVA 11KV/440V transformer it's HT side current = 100/20=5 amps LT side current=100+100/3=133 amps. this is approximatelly figure(answer), Line man of Power Distribution Company fallow this method .

this is simple .. assume a 100kva tr, ok
then p= vi ( power = voltage x current)
1.lets see for HT side
p( kva)= root 3 ( for 3 phase)x voltagex current
=> kva = root3xvxI
=> 100kva=1.732x11kvxI
=> I= 5.25amp/phase
2. similarly in secondary side means LT side
=> 100kva=1.732x440xI
=> I= 144amp/phase

Answer / prashant kalivada
KVA = KV x A
= voltage in KV x current in ampere
So, A = KVA / KV at HT side
therefore if KVA is 100 and KV is 11 then
A= 100 / 11
= 9.09 Amps at HT side
and for LT
A = KVA / (V/1000)
= 100 / (440/1000)
= 100 / 0.440
= 227.27 for LT side
