Reactive Power is directly proportional to Current and
Inversely proportional to Power Factor. Meaning, the higher
the VAr, the higher the I and lower PF. Hence, we'll have
an increase in size of the cunductors. Cundoctors like,
Copper don't come cheap. It's adviceable to run an
electrical system at a PF approching Unity to have stable
power system.

Because all types of loads required active power to do some useful work.and Apperent power is the total of active power and reactive power.it means apperent power can't be increase or decrease.so we have to limit the reactive power of the system so that we can use maximum active power. and we can supply the more power to the different loads.
THE MAIN FUNCTION OF THE REACTIVE POWER IS JUST TO PUSH THE ACTIVE POWER UP TO THE LOAD.SO JUST WE HAVE TO REQUIRED THAT MUCH RECTIVE POWER IN THE SYSTEM.

greater the reactive power drawn by load lowerer the pf.the kva epuipment required greater, conducter size greater, copper loss greater, reduce handling capacity of the equipments.

actually the voltage control is reactive power control. All loads are consume only the reactive power so the reactive
power limits in power system is voileted so the system
stability is inadequate.
