You can the change the profile parameter at OS level by Vi -
editor.After the changing the paramter value save.
NB: The New value reflect only after your restart of the
system.

Yes , chaning parameter at os level is not recommended.but
at Unix level you can use Vi-editor to edit profiles and
chagne the value of parameter , save and bounce the
systems to get the changes applicable.
path will be /sapmnt/SID/profile or use cdpro directly

hey all, I am trying to install SAP 4.6C on a Windows 2003 server Enterprise edition. well at the time of the installation of Oracle 9.0, am I also suppose to create a database. well, If I do, then it gives me an error at the time of the installation of Database Instance at a stage where the SAP database creation takes place, If I don't then SAP database creation succeeds, all the tablespaces are created successfully, however the post oracle configuration stage gives an error, stating that an SQL statement exec failed... what should I do, Please Help....
