It is definitely rms value... bcoz any a.c source is denoted by its rms value..

The initial current is very large at the time of starting for almost all DC motors. SO WE USE STARTER FOR A SAFE STARTING but at our homes we don’t see any starters in our coolers, motors.WHY DON’T WE NEED STARTERS FOR THESE APPLIANCES?
