what is diff. b/w of earth & neutral?. why we are
separately using ?

Earth point is given to divert zero sequence current which
arise in case of earth fault.Neutral conductor is given for
a return path in circuit.Neutral is earthed in case of MV
and Hv equipments as to stop high currents from reaching the
equipment.

For an electrical equipment to function the circuit must be
complete.Neutral is the return path of the circuit.wheres
the earth is a protection circuit. If for some reasons the
equipment or the circuit is faulty and there is a leakage
of electricity. It may harm YOU or somebody than the you or
the somebody must be protected against the shock or death
because of it. So a earth cable is connected to ground away
any leakages or shocks so the equipment is safe to be
touched, when you actually dont know there is a fault in the
equipment. The earth cable should be connected to all the
likely places the voltage can leak to and earthed with a
good earth otherwise it is no use. With no neutral the
equipment may not work but no earth the equipment can work.

In electrical wiring system is a conductor that provides a
low impedance path to the earth to prevent hazardous
voltages from appearing on equipment (the terms "ground" .
Normally a grounding conductor does not carry current.
Neutral is a circuit conductor (that carries current in
normal operation), which is connected to earth (or ground)
generally at the service panel with the main disconnecting
switch or breaker.
