Every day we have to take backup of archieve logs in the archieve director.through db13 select online redologs and -sd
,it means that the system copy the online redo logs to backup folder and delete the logs from archieve directory.


go to oraarch directory and type du -sh in linux.it shows the size of directory.

we take backup of logs everday from archieve directory from db13 there only we select an option called -sd it means save and delete.if u not perform this action.the archieve directory size will increase and finaly archieve struck will happen,then u have to delete the logs from the archieve directory.

Hi,

OraArchive directory will be of more than 17gb and one can
prevent arceiver stuck situation with the help of T
Code "SARA" in SAP.Transaction Code "SARA" is used to check
both archive directory and logs and to prevent stuck
situation.
