how can u do kernal upgrade in dual stack?

1. uncar the car or sar file.
2. stop all services.
3. replace that exe folder in shared profile location of the
sap system.
4. start the sap system.

The procedure is same for dual stack systems too. Bring down
both the stacks and replace the exe directory. System can
either be unicode or non-unicode, we have to download
appropriate kernel file from SMP. I dont think the case u
told will exists. That is ABAP being unicode and java being
non-unicode, I dont think this is possible.

i know what jaipal said is correct for abap stack. but i
want the procedure for kernal upgrade in dual stack.we need
to follow the same procedure or some other. i also want to
know what if both are unicode(A+J).how to do kernal upgrade
when abap is nonunicode and java is unicode? some body post
me the answer.thanks in advance.
