--> Resizing the datafile means changing the size of the

By Adding a datafile we mean that we are creating a new Datafile and Resizing is just, resizing your existing datafile. e.g we are datafiles at different drives/mount points, if we want to add datafile of 500m but that mount has just space less than that then instead of going for adding a data-file, we will resize the existing datafile in that mount to consume that available space and then will re allocate the quota to users, and thus resizing and adding matters upon the condition.
