It is advised not to parallel the two transformers because
of the difference in their phase shifts. For YNd11 the HV
lags the LV by 30 degrees while in YNd1 the HV leads the LV
by 30 degrees. Parallelling the two will lead to over
heating and other abnormal conditions which may lead their
protective relays to malfunction.

it can be paralleled by reversing the phase sequence of one
of them. For example, a transformer with Yd11 connection
can be paralleled with that having Dy1 connec-tion by
reversing the phase sequence of both primary and secondary
terminals of the Dy1 transformer.
