How can we parallel two transformer with vector gorup YNd11
and YNd1?How is connection two transformer GT?
Answer Posted / engr. l. o. osuji
It is advised not to parallel the two transformers because
of the difference in their phase shifts. For YNd11 the HV
lags the LV by 30 degrees while in YNd1 the HV leads the LV
by 30 degrees. Parallelling the two will lead to over
heating and other abnormal conditions which may lead their
protective relays to malfunction.
