what is the relation b/w KW and KWH? plz explain with example...

Answer / srij21

KW is the maximum capacity in terms of power for which the
machine has been designed for. Just like 106cc,150cc,180cc
in the two wheelers.

KWH is the amount of energy consumed by the machine in one
hour. just like 75 kilometer per litre ,60 km / litre.

I think it will be sufficient

what is the relation b/w KW and KWH? plz explain with example...

Answer / bharat patel

kw is maximum capacity of power of drive or motor which is
multipication of voltage and current like for three phase
drive, P= root 3*v*i*cosQ.
where P= kw,
V= voltage-415v,
i= current Drawn by motor or drive

Kwh means hoe much power consumed by drive in houres
means Kw*H= kwh

what is the relation b/w KW and KWH? plz explain with example...

Answer / mary

kW is the power and kWh is the energy.

power*time=energy

If you have a 100 W lamp (0.1 kW) and it is working for 10
hours, then the energy is 1 kW:

100 Watt*10 h= 1000 Wh= 1 kWh

you can also say that kW is demand and kWh is consumption.

what is the relation b/w KW and KWH? plz explain with example...

Answer / sameer

Watt is the unit of power.

1 Watt = 1 Joule per second i.e. when energy of 1 joule is
consumed in 1 second, then the corresponding power is 1
watt.

Thus, a bulb of 60 watts consumes 60 Joules per second.

KWH (or WH) is nothing but the measure of the actual energy
consumed in Joules per hour...how???

This is how ==>> Watt Hour = Watt X Unit of time
= Joules/Seconds X seconds
= Joules

So, bascially, 100 watt hour = 100 joules/second x 3600
seconds = 360000 Joules i.e. in 1 hour, the 100 watt bulb
has consumed 360000 Joules of enegy.

This is the reason, why electricity companies mention the
watt-hours consumed by the consumer in the bill.
Basically, they are calculating the 'energy consumed' in
the particular month and then charging you a specific rate
for it in terms of Rs. XYZ per unit (of energy).

To give an analogy, watt can be looked upon as the speed of
a car (lets say a taxi)and the watt-hour can be looked upon
as the actual distance travelled. Thus, you might travel at
100 miles per hour or at 50 miles per hour or at different
speeds...but the taxi driver will charge you for the final
distance travelled and not for the speed at which you
travelled.

what is the relation b/w KW and KWH? plz explain with example...

Answer / mainank daru

Its very simple, KW is the required power and KWH is the
obtained power which is used,
if you have to rate a machine you shall use KW and if you
have to determine the capacity of machine then it shall be
Kwh. hope there is no confusion now, any prob in future do
contact..

what is the relation b/w KW and KWH? plz explain with example...

Answer / ashok

KW is the required power and KWH is the
obtained power which is used,

example: one k.w of power used in one hour . then
consumption is k.hw.h
