why cant we use earth as neutral at home whereas neutral is
actually grounded at transformer end?

Answer / bruce
Because neutral is the return path for the load current but
earthing is used for protection against earth leakages.
Both are ground to earth but flow of current is
different.Neutral bus and earth bus are not interconnected
in network or distribution system.

power is coming to our home via phase & neutral wires. in
case when the phase wire is in active & neutral from supply
system is disconnected then the power will flow via the
person in the house & a closed circuit will be formed by
him. To avoid that alternative neutral has been provided in
our homes. The above said neutral point will be earthed for
electrical safety.

You have to consider ER of both electrodes ,the sum of which
will be about 10 Ohms.

if we use earth as neutral ,it will not be possible to
measure the power consumed by the household or establishment
because there will be no returning path for the current
through the neutral which is grounded at the
transformer.power is delivered from the transformer ,so to
measure the power consumed there should be a closed path

WHAT AC (HI VOLTAGE TEST) VOLTAGE SHOULD APPLY FOR 33KV CABLES.EXPLAIN IN DETAIL
salam, hi, how to calculate british temperature unit (B.T.U)?
for ac networks if the voltage wave form is V=Vm sinwt here the voltage Vm=230 for the frequency 50hz then the time period is 0.02 sec then for the time period 0.12 sec what is the voltage
How we can convert H.P into KW or Vice versa
We say that if voltage in a power system is increased, for a constant power the current will decrease (by P=VI). isn't this in disagreement with the ohms law(I propotional V;resistant const.).Since the resistance of transmission lines remains constant, shouldn't inc in voltage cause inc in current across the transmission line? I have read many articles across the net but still couldn't this figure this out. :( Guyz plz assist me with dis..:)..
can anybody send me syllabus of rrb section engg (electrical). and also send previous question pepar...
