why cant we use earth as neutral at home whereas neutral is
actually grounded at transformer end?

Because neutral is the return path for the load current but
earthing is used for protection against earth leakages.
Both are ground to earth but flow of current is
different.Neutral bus and earth bus are not interconnected
in network or distribution system.
