why cant we use earth as neutral at home whereas neutral is
actually grounded at transformer end?
Answer Posted / kms
power is coming to our home via phase & neutral wires. in
case when the phase wire is in active & neutral from supply
system is disconnected then the power will flow via the
person in the house & a closed circuit will be formed by
him. To avoid that alternative neutral has been provided in
our homes. The above said neutral point will be earthed for
electrical safety.

I want to put this query to SENIOR & EXPERIENCED ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS. 1)I want to know about the control circuit diagrams for control panels. I found it difficult to understand. Is there ant booklet through which we can learn the circuit diagrams? 2)I want to learn about conduiting, laying cables, preparing cable schedules and various techniques which is the part of building infrastucture(construction field). I don't have any experience in this area. I have experience in control panels only. that's why i am not getting any opening in building infrastucture (construction field). Can I get the job in this field as Trainee Engineer? How to enter this field? I need job in PUNE

My question is whether bellow formula is correct to find bus size for 46kA for 0.5 second & what is RT in bellow formula. formula to calculate the size of busbar to withstand the thermal stresses due to currents with duration of 0.2 sec to 5 sec. Sp = RT( I x I x t) / K Where Sp – is the cross sectional area of bus bar in millimeters. I - is the value of AC fault current. t - is the operating time of disconnecting device in seconds. K – is the factor depending on the material of the conductor, insulation and initial and final temperature. Value of ‘k’ for copper is 143.
