If the voltage between the two phase is equal to the lamp

difference is big it will damage the lamp and when the
difference is smaller the lamp will glow depending on the
type of lamp.

can u light up bulb with out useing neutral..

Answer / abhishek-gaur

m nt sure.... buti thinhk all we need is a potential
difference...

in regular supply... LINE VOLTAGE is of 220v
and there is a neutral... thus a potential difference of 220

if we connect our bulb between a 440v and 220v line, then
also potential difference of 220v is developed
