at the time of putting the plug top in plug point first earth pin touches the earth pin.any leakage is there then it will goes to the earth. then it will be safety for us and we can save human.

they are depend to the r=row L\A mean the resister are
increase so the cross area are the decrees mean resi are
inversely proportional to the cross section of area ... and
so the resi are to the high so the plug point is the bigger
to compere to the two pin

The earth pin has to send fault current to earth.so, the
resistance of that path should be low.to get low resitance,
cross sectional area should be more. it can be understood
from R=pl/A.so the cross sectional area of tat pin should be
high.
