actually taking about the condenser and capacitor the word they does is same but the applications are different as capacitor is used for low power applications and condenser is used in high power applications

Condenser store energy for mechanical output.(As refrigerator,fan etc. )

I think question was asked for capacitor and sync. condenser.
both are used for improving power factor. sync.condenser mean the sync. motor running in overexcited mode (in dis state it provides leading current).
basic difference is Capacitor is static device and condenser is rotating device for P.F Improvement.

u can say condenser is a capacitor but only in electrostatics but in thermodynamics it uses to gaseous molecules into liquid.
