Under voltage coil is a protection relay which will give
the triping command to ACB during the Low Voltage in the
electrical system.uring the Insatallaion & commissioning of
UV Relay its need to set the Voltage Limit for it
operation.

If you want the ACB to remain in ON position than the under voltage coil must be powered.
Like in the case of ACBs of generators.
If for some reasons the generator fails than we want the generator to be isolated from the system than here we use an under voltage coil ACB.It means if NO supply to under voltage coil than you cannot ON the ACB.

The UV coil main functions in ACB under voltage and over voltage protection because some electrical equipments working following voltage so we are set a under voltage 380 volt and over voltage 440 volt between 380 to 440 breaker will be tripped than safe the valuable equipments

UV coil is a one type of feeder protection device and The main function of UV coil is to safe the feeder and equipment,s during unbalancing of power circuit. It is installed in the ACB and set the required Pick up and drop value of voltage in relay.so the beyond the set value coil will be energize and trip the ACB.

An Under Voltage coil is used to remotely trip a circuit breaker and some switch disconnectors. Schneider Electric uses the abbreviation MN for Under Voltage coils. An Under Voltage coil has to have a voltage applied to it to enable the device to close, and have the supply removed from it to trip the device.and also provide protection against under voltage.
