why capacitor takes more current..

i think a capacitor store the electrical energy & oppose
the changing voltage. so as per electrical theory a current
in a capacitor always lead the voltage so capacitor take
more current.
please note that this not a perfect answer,

of the dielectric media betwwen the parallel plate
