PDA - Photo diode array detector
UV- Ultra violet detector
UV used in regular analysis for single nm. where as PDA is useful in method development by injecting single sample we can find peak purity

Answer / ajinkya p.
In pda detector light from UV & D2 both combination first passes from flow cell & then grating so we get array of light so we check absorption for each wavelength And also facility to calculate peak purity ( if there any hidden peak behind the interested peak)because pda has 3D view. In UV detector light from uv first fall grating & then flow cell, and we can put only known single or double wavelength at a time to analysis. this is the diff. between pda & uv detector.
