suddenly the field of one Generator get weakened What will
happened if there is no reverse power relay fixed in that
Generator panel????

If Two Generators are working parellel in a network and suddenly the field of one Generator get we..

Answer / g.bhardwaj

If two generators are working in parallel & no reverse
power relay installed then during weakened of field of any
gen set, definetly sick gen set work as a induction motor &
other gen set trip due to overload.

If Two Generators are working parellel in a network and suddenly the field of one Generator get we..

Answer / nishad

If there is no reverse power relay fixed, then it
definetely work as synchronous motor. if it work as the
same, it will affect the present network, because

1, It will draw the current from the other & will trip the
particular network system.

2,Already both generator working in parellel.so if one fail
the full load of the system will be the responsible of
working one. that's why it'll trip by over load.

3, If that field weaked generator work as a motor, it
defenitelt affect the primover ( Diesel Engine / Turbin)
there will be a chance of break down if it don't stop.

IF any another answer pls welcome>>> Nishad

If Two Generators are working parellel in a network and suddenly the field of one Generator get we..

Answer / lankesh

what you ment by field weakening Assuming field voltage is
reduced and another gen is having enough capacity, the weak
field gen wil deliver less reactive power as the mechanical
energy supplied is not reduced continue to deliver active
power

If Two Generators are working parellel in a network and suddenly the field of one Generator get we..

Answer / k.prakashchandra

Less excitation?. Then the generator will continue share the
load at leading power factor resulting in higher armature
current as the prime mover is still running and the terminal
voltage of the Gen is reduced. If this current exceeds the
set value ,Gen will trip on OCR which does not allow for
very low pf.

The weaked field get another set zero so that particular
gen worked not agenerator

If Two Generators are working parellel in a network and suddenly the field of one Generator get we..

Answer / raju pohane

if in running condition one generator field wdg became weak
that time this generator will go in field weakening
position and speed will suddenly high and generator will
trip on over speed due to tripping in one generator, load
will shift on another generator and if there will no span
for load in another generator it will also trip.
