The following tests to be done during commissioning.
1.Duster value.
2.PI test The value should be above2.o
3.Tan delta test.
4.Ratio test.
5.short ckt.impedance test.
6.vector test.
7.IR test.
8.Polarity test. Thats are sufficient.
BDV value of TRANS OIL should not be less than 50 kv.
IR value of oil cooled trans should be 100M w.r.t gr.and HT
to LT also 100M.PI test should carried out value min 1.5 to
2.0

Answer / nithiya
tan dalta test only for above 220KV higher rating
transformers only conducted , Impuls test only conduted in
factory only..and Asper IS 1866-2000 less then 72KV=40KV,
170KV=50KV above 170KV=60KV.

according to all routine test as per IS-2026 PART 1 and magnetic balance, also current balance test should be require if necessary temperature rise test can be made.
if the voltage level is 11 kv so IMPULSE TEST AS PER clause 12 can be made for better acivement.
partial discharge should always check

Grounding. Dear all at one of my site we checked the amps at the earthing cable to the alternator it was found 125 to 130 A. at the neutal cable in same machine found 146A. in the same plant checked the earthing current on other alternator it was 52A, and neutral 116 A. we are facing problems with our controller and the card was damaged once. can that neutral/GND current be a reason? as there is common grounding for the Alternator,Brkr panel,Transformer?
Why do not we prefer non conventional sources of energy to conventional sources?
what is derating?, why it is neccesary, it is same for all means for drives, motors, and cables.
