Only a civil engineer can take care of the needs of any
other branch. You name the trade.... it shall be part of a
civil engineering. Any craftsman.... a carpenter, a
plumber, a mason... every one is part and parcel of Civil
Engineering. Mankind started is progression with Civil
Engineering only. Unless a Civil Engineer gives a shelter,
none can start their work. Consider Seven wonders of the
world...marvels of engineering.... everything shall be
referred to CE. Why so many, the term ENGINEERING will be
referred only to CIVIL Engineering. Proud to say... from
birth to death (from labour room to crematarium)... a Civil
Engineer is a MUST.

Civil Engineering is a branch which help the nation to

But today i am very unhappy for taking this engineering as my career because so many unemployment people getting the jobs by putting the fake certificates also some of companies encouraging the field supervisers and giving the equal salaries and equal importance to those untrained and un certificated fellows for their selfish purpose. I am very unhappy about this. I am graduate civil engineer and i love civil engineers but not this engineering.

It is the mother of all engineering.normal people believe a house can be constructed just by a mason and civil engg is not require. But only we civil engineers know why such houses leak bear cracks at early stage why dampness firms in walls even in summer. The argument people say which civil engineers built our temples and monuments.they stand for 1000 years while you buidings we dont stand even 100 years. Hey guys we don't want our buildings be uneconomical with 1000 pillars we consider economy, safety all. It's the branch which will covers all aspect of life. you want good agriculture? You need a good irrigation engineer. you want good water you need water resources engineer. you need u travel you need civil engineer to build track, road,bridge. You want safe building you need structural engineer, geotech engineer there are public health engineers to maintain proper sanitation town planning engineers for better living environmental engineers and more. last bit not least architects boast they do buildings. they can only give aesthetic appearance. economy safety is decided only by civil engineer. can an architect design a dam!! Or bridge. It will people trust him and use those structures.civil engineering rules the world. SO I AM PROUD AND HAPPY TO HAVE CHOSEN CIVIL ENGG
