Question { 22898 }

ON WHAT BASIS LOADS ARE CLASSIFIED AS RESISTIVE,INDUCTIVE
AND CAPACITIVE LOADS?.GIVE PRACTICAL EXAMPLES FOR EACH

Answer

see

resistance , inductance eand capacitance is the network
resistive current is in phase with voltage
inductive current is 90 degrree lag with phase voltage
capacitve current is 90 degrree lead with phase volage

if load is inductive more than capacitve , ur power factor
will be lag around o.5 percent then ur loss become maximum
and ur efficiency will reduce , so we need compansate the
KVAR , and connect the shunt capacitor for pf improvement

in capacitve load , more than inductive , transformer give
negative voltage regulation then it not give constant
voltage

that means u have to balnce the three loads ,resistance ,
inductive , capacitve

Is This Answer Correct ?    14 Yes 0 No

Question { 5625 }

how induction generator works?

Answer

AC generator

in between stator , rotor rotates and cut the magentic
field by 0 ,120,240 degree it produces dC
current ,commutator is convert the dc into ac ,and we get
ac

generator is for generate ac current

Is This Answer Correct ?    1 Yes 4 No

Question { 3269 }

when we connect a CT in the line will there be any loses in
the line due to the mutual inductance of the CT.

Answer

yes there is losses
because CT is current transformer ,

why we connect a CT in the line ???

for the metering purpose ,

Is This Answer Correct ?    3 Yes 0 No

Question { 3475 }

what is residual current....

Answer

when current flows any equipment , after flowing the
current , because of electromagnetic effect there is some
small current will be there , its called residual current

Is This Answer Correct ?    8 Yes 0 No

Question { 16337 }

what happen "when Dyn11 is parallel operation with Dyn1"?

Answer

becuase of wrong clock number there is phase difference
and because of phase angle difference it shows negative
sequence

Is This Answer Correct ?    1 Yes 0 No

Question { L&T, 6738 }

what is electricity.

Answer

electricity , when the voltage/current applied any
equipment due to static and electromagnetic or effect its
working , its called electricity

Is This Answer Correct ?    2 Yes 0 No

Question { NTPC, 5878 }

If current flows through conductor it produce magnetic
field only.but if current flows through vaccum both
magnetic & electrical field produce why ?

Answer

plz clear ur queston first

current flows through conductor it produce magnetic field
it is ok

but what current flow through vaccum ??? i don;t understand
this

Is This Answer Correct ?    1 Yes 0 No

Question { Bharti, 6624 }

what are the types of basic earthing?and why we are doing
that?

Answer

earthin is neccesary

basic earthing types

Question { BEL, 21143 }

On what basis no of earth pits are to be decided either for
transformers or for equipment?

Answer

earth pit is depnd upon

on vector group of transformer which we are used
equipment body earthing ,in delta connection we required
earthing transformer to protect from earthfault current

Is This Answer Correct ?    1 Yes 7 No

Question { 5616 }

why return path in terms of neutral is required please give
a relevant answer

Answer

we require neutral for close the circuit
if ur ckt is not close , ur ckt not works

Is This Answer Correct ?    1 Yes 0 No

Question { 54823 }

WAT IS MEANT BY COLD AND HOT START OF A MOTOR?? HOW DOES IT
AFFECT A MOTOR'S PERFORMANCE??

Answer

cold start its first start of motor
when the first time u start the motor

hot start of a motor means
second start of motor , after first start of motor u stop
the motor and again u start the motor then motor condition
is hot thats why it is known is hot start

prformance ???
when u start at cold condition , motor takes more starting
current for getting in synchronus condition

and in hot condition motor is already hot thats y it's
starting easy then cold

Is This Answer Correct ?    16 Yes 42 No

Question { NTPC, 5056 }

why knee point voltage should be high in Ct for
differential protection

Answer

in HV CT the secondary voltage should be around Vk>400v

because in differential protection , we have to maintain
relay input of 1 Amp or 5 Amp

Is This Answer Correct ?    4 Yes 0 No

Question { 4078 }

what is the different between second harmonics and third
harmonics ?

Answer

second harmonic component = 2*50 =100Hz

Third harmonic component = 3*50 = 150Hz

Second harmonic has low disturbance then third harmonics
