When you create sales order in SD, all the details of the
items are copied from Material master of MM.
2. MRP and availibility check related data is also taken
from MM although you control this data in SD.
3. While you create inbound/outbound delivery with
reference to a sales order,the shipping point determination
takes place with the help of the loading group, plant data,
shipping conditions etc. This also refers to Material
Master.
4. The material which you are entering in a sales order
must be extended to the sales area of your sales
order/customer otherwise you cannot transact with this
material.
There are many such links between SD and MM.

Integration points of SD & MM are --
1. Availability check
2. Transfer of requirement to MRP
3. Assignment of organizational elements like DC ,sales org
to plant ,these allow customers to be serviced from desired
plants for a particular sales organization through DC.
4. Definition of material types and material master records
for finished and miscellaneous products belonging to various
divisions.
5.Stock transfer order processing for transfer goods between
plants & depots.
6.IT is also possible to create sales order stock in case of
made-to-order production where the stock is produced against
a specific sales order.

The link between SD and MM :-
1. When you create sales order in SD, all the details of the items are copied from Material master of MM.
2. MRP and availability check related data is also taken from MM although you control this data in SD as well.
3. While you create inbound/outbound delivery with reference to a sales order, the shipping point determination takes place with the help of the loading group, plant data, shipping conditions etc. This also refers to Material Master (except shipping condition).

in this case as sales orgganisation is the highest
organisational element in SD and plant is the highest
organisational element in MM ,
we assign sale sorg and distribution channel to plant at
the time of configuring the sttings for enterprise
structure.

First point - When the order is created & material entered,
the first thing the system does is check if stock is
available.
Second Point - When goods issue is done the stock is
reduced.

In Third Party sale process, I am getting an error- in MIRO(Error No. M8889-A/c 893010 has been set as not relevant for Tax, but when I want to change the Account Assignment in ME21 it is taking only G/L A/C 893010 and refusing all other G/L A/C's by giving 2 errors. They are ME045-G/L A/c 39010 cannot be used(please correct)and ME038-No direct posting can be made to G/L A/C 34000. Experts please share your knowledge to solve this problem. Warm Regards.

when we create a sales order system should pick up route schedule but system not picked up. i have done all settings like scheduling with route schedule by shipping point, sales doc type and delivery type. maintained the unloading point and goods receiving hours in CMR and created route schedule master data. can anyone explain this process?
