pressure transmitter:
in bench calibration connect a power supply 24v.give a
250ohms as loop resistance.connect a multimeter in
milliamph mode and connect it in series.and put a
communicator across the loop.the transmitters HP&LP sides
should be in open to atmosphere.this condition the
ammeter shows 4ma and the communicator shows LRV .connect a
pressure calibrator to the HP side and LP keep it open to
atm.apply pressure as the range and go on as 25%,50%,75%and
URV.then the ammeter shows 4,8,12,16,20ma
respectivly.incase you are not getting zero, make zero trim.

TEMPERATURE TRANSMITTER:
GIVE 24VDC TO THE TRANSMITTER
CONNECT MULTIMETER IN SERIES WITH -VE TO THE TXT
GIVE RESISTANCE INPUT TO THE TRANSMITTER
GIVE LRV VALUE BY ADJUSTING THE DRB
ADJUST ZERO FOR LRV
GIVE URV VALUE BY ADJUSTING THE DRB
ADJUST SPAN FOR URV
GIVE 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% OF URV (RESISTANCE) AND CHECK THE
CORRESPONDING MILLIAMPS OUTPUT
PRESSURE TRANSMITTER:
GIVE 24VDC TO THE TRANSMITTER
CONNECT 250 OHMS IN SERIES WITH -VE TO THE TXT
CONNECT THE HART TO THE TERMINALS OF RESISTANCE
CONNECT THE TRANSMITTER TO THE SOURCE VIA REGULATOR AND MAKE
A T OFF CONNECT TO A MASTER GAUGE
VARY THE PRESSURE BY ADJUSTING THE REGULATOR
MAKE ZERO TRIM FOR ZERO PRESSURE THROUGH HART
ADJUST THE REGULATOR AND CHECK FOR THE LRV VALUE IF NOT
MATCHING ADJUST THE ZERO
DO THE SAME FOR THE URV
GIVE 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% OF URV (PRESSURE) AND CHECK THE
CORRESPONDING MILLIAMPS OUTPUT
DP TYPE TRANSMITTER
LP LINE SHOULD BE LEFT OPEN TO ATMOSPHERE
CONNECT THE HP LINE TO THE SOURCE AND DO THE SAME AS ABOVE

Any Txr has input, output, supply. give the simulated input
ie.. mA source or mV or pneumatic and check the o/p. if o/p
doesn't match adjust zero or span . Have details of range of
measurements in hand. In need use them also to get desired
output

Dear friends, I have a question: We work on a project which has some boilers to provide steam for desalination unit. The boiler area is safe and the only hazard source is the fuel lines of boilers. I want to know according to NFPA standard which type of instrument should be selected on the fuel line: Eex Type or Non-Eex type? Thanks in advance
