pressure transmitter:
in bench calibration connect a power supply 24v.give a
250ohms as loop resistance.connect a multimeter in
milliamph mode and connect it in series.and put a
communicator across the loop.the transmitters HP&LP sides
should be in open to atmosphere.this condition the
ammeter shows 4ma and the communicator shows LRV .connect a
pressure calibrator to the HP side and LP keep it open to
atm.apply pressure as the range and go on as 25%,50%,75%and
URV.then the ammeter shows 4,8,12,16,20ma
respectivly.incase you are not getting zero, make zero trim.

I was working on calibrating turbidity transmitters endress+hauser at effluent polishing plant. We calibrated using NTU buffers. What happened is that when we immersed the sensor, everytime we raise and lower the sensor gradually, the reading will vary.my question is that is there any specifications on what is the required distance from the bottom of the container with buffer to the face of the sensor? Is it ok to install the sensor in a medium which has turbulence specially if bubbles are present?
