If an induction motor is restarted before its rotor stop
rotating, then what will be the amount of current drawn?
Is this current will be the same as motor starting current?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
induction motor takes less currunet compare that of
starting current.why because the
rotor is in running condition,(ie back emf of rotor is
'not equal to 0') "Back emf have some value while rotor is
running, so the motor takes less current compare than
starting current"

in induction motor starting current is 3 times more than the
full load current at the time of starting.why because the
rotor is in stand still condition,(ie back emf of rotor is
'0').that's why to induce the emf in the rotor it takes more
current to produce the torque.onece the motor reaches the
rated speed it will take normal load current.if u cut off
the suupply

I=Vs/(Sqroot(Sqr(R/S)=Sqr(X)))
R= stand still resistance
X= stand still reactanc
s= Slip
if u still have the slip.....it will b according to slip only
