suppose we using 3 phase motor of 440 v means what range of C.T. is require for measuring current..

Answer / ashish khamparia

for C.T. rating we should have motor rating in kw. so that
we calculate the load.

suppose we using 3 phase motor of 440 v means what range of C.T. is require for measuring current..

Answer / padmanabha prasad

CT range depends on the fullload current of the motor not
voltage. So first find out the motor FLA and based on that
u can select the range of CT(metering). Range should be 0
to FLA*20%)

suppose we using 3 phase motor of 440 v means what range of C.T. is require for measuring current..

Answer / soewinaung

We must know full load ampere of the motor. If we know ,we
can select C.T. as their ratio to show on ammeter. It is
best to use ammeter selector to know ampere on each phase.

suppose we using 3 phase motor of 440 v means what range of C.T. is require for measuring current..

Answer / engr, abdul barek

Mr. Naresh: Motor rating is always kW and transformer rating is KVA.

Alternator no depends on power factor.

For CT design, Should be need KW & voltage lavel.

suppose we using 3 phase motor of 440 v means what range of C.T. is require for measuring current..

Answer / virendra

Rating of CT means maximum carrtent to be measure for that
voltage , powerfactor & Wattage capacity is required.
depending upon that you can calculate the total current to
be measured & also the rating of the current transformer

suppose we using 3 phase motor of 440 v means what range of C.T. is require for measuring current..

Answer / peter desoza

P=1.732 VI X.85
= 1 amp APPROX
NO NEED CT, because the main purpose of CT is to step down
the current,U CAN USE SIMPLE AMPERE METER OK

we should know the kva rating of the motor & also power
factor.
