transformer mainly works on the mutual induction principle.
if primary gets excited with supply the winding itself
induces flux, these flux links with windings produces emf
in primary these primary flux links with secondary winding
and produces emf according to the mutual induction
principle.

A powerplant has 8 gensets operating in grid parallel mode. In one genset sometimes there is pf variation and kvar variation. The plant operates in pf mode. When this variation is observed the load is stable, voltage is also stable, freq and genset speed is also stable. How will you check the functioning of pf card. What shall be the ideal output vdc of the pfc, from there it is input to AVR?

How can we calculate the current if we have load in KVA and if the load in KW then what formula will be use for calculating the current. please give both the formula for calculating the current.
Hi frnds :) plz tell me that i have 100 KVA 3 phase generator so by thumb rule 100*1.4 = 144 amps and generaly we can operate at 80% load...so it will 144*0.8 =112 amps.... so now i m confused about single phase load.....if we use that generator only for single phase the that 112 amps is total single phase load or i can give 112 amps at red 112 amps at yellow and 112 amps at blue.... i mean that total single phase load that 100 KVA generator will take is 112+112+112=336 amp ??
