What is rms value wher it is used??????????
Answer / dale bergemann
RMS is Root Mean Squared. If you have a sinewave baseline Peak value of 1, your Peak to Peak (P-P) is 2. Then your Average value of 0.637 and finally an RMS value of 0.707. P-P is the value of the energy that is doing work. It inherently is void of transients/harmonics distortion. If you use a multimeter that measures in true RMS, it will have greater accuracy than that of an average reading meter, and usually cost more money. I've posted the ratios of the various units, to explain how to calculate it would take more time and space.
