1. HVDC IS USED AS A TIE LINES BETWEEN TWO AC TRANSMISSION
LINES.
2. HIGH POWER TRANSMISSION IN LONG LINES.
3. IN SUBMARINES.
4. HVDC IS USED BECAUSE SKIN EFFECT IS ZERO. WHY, BECAUSE
FREQUENCY IS ZERO.

And all other tansmission losses is minimum rather than AC
transmission line such as faranty effect, corona effect and
capacitance property calculation will not be nagligible in
AC transmission.that HVDC is the best but not economical.
