why we do 2 types of earthing on tranformer ie:body earthing
& nutral earthing , what is function.
i am going to instal a 5oo kva tranformer & 380 kva DG set
what should the earthing value

Body earthing is used for body leakage current to earth &
not humen body harmful. Neutral earthing is used for
unbalance current pass through neutral & its goes to earth
& not effect on other phases voltages/load.

The two types of earthing are Familiar as Equipment
earthing and Sysytem earthing.
In Equipment earthing: body ( non conducting part)of the
eqipment shold be earthed to safegaurd the human beings.
system Earthing : In this neutral of the supply source (
Transformer or Generator) should be grounded. With this,in
case of unbalanced loading neutral will not be shifted.so
that unbalanced voltages will not arise. We can protect the
equipment also. With size of the equipment( transformer or
alternator)and selection of relying system earthing will be
further classified into directly earthed,Impedance
earthing, resistive (NGRs) earthing
Both are equally importantand compulsory. As per your
requirement Earth pit value will be below 10 Ohms.

Star connection T/f's mid point of b/w two phase should be
neutral point . tat point is to be earthed ,
Body earth goes to ground the leakges in the T/f's to
protect human beings frm harmful

Body Earthing : To ground any leakage current flowing in the e body of transformer & to protect human Body.
Neutral Earthing: To ground the unbalanced current in neutral.
The earth resistance should be below than 2 ohms.

1)Body Earting:- It is a part of earthing process were we
are connecting the metallic part of the equipment to the
general mass of the earth (earth is a zero potential) to
ensure any leakage current due to failure of the insulation
of the active conductor. If it is not ensured & suppose
there is leakage current it may cause electrical shock to
the person touching the metallic part of the equipment.
2) Neutral Earting:- It is being ensured & essential where
we are installing distribution transformer (Delta to star)
& Three phase neutral DG set, Neutral earting is the
process of earthing the star point of the secondary winding
of transformer & star point of the alternator winding to
the general mass of the earth. It is essential to eliminate
the return current in neutral due to unbalanced voltage &
further to eliminate unbalance potential between the
circuits.
Note:- In both the case earth setups resistance should
below 2 Ohms.

Basically earthing neutral earthing its protects fluctuation
of current and overloading and safety of equipment.
Body earthing is used to leakage of current.

why are you use the crgo core lamination in transformer
An 8 pole, 50 Hz, 3-phase IM is loaded to a poing where pull out torque will occur. The rotor resistance per phase is 0.3 ohm and motor stalls at 650 rpm. The rotor reactance at stand still is A 2 ohm B 1.25 ohm C 3.15 ohm D 2.25 ohm

( Re: WHAT SHOULD BE THE RATING OF MCCB FOR 415V,3Ph,50KVAR CAPACITOR BANK Answer # 1 The capacitor current would be kvar x 1000 / (415 x sqrt3). This would be 70a approx. The MCCB selected should have *atleast 1.4 times this current i.e. 1.4 x 70= 98. So you should choose at least 100 A mccb.) regarding to this answer,i would like to know why the current have to times 1.4 to get the right amphere for the mccb.hows the formula to get the 1.4??tq
