Infoproviders: which provide the data for reporting.
eg: infoobjects,Infocube, ODS, Multiprovider, Infosets.
(Infoproviders)

Infocube, ODS and infoobject(master data objects) are the
DATA TARGETS.

Multiprovider : these are virtual Infoproviders.
Multiproviders does not contain any data physicaly.
It will combine the data from different providers & make
the data available as one to the single user.
we can combine the data from Infocube, oDS, infoobjects and
infosets by using UNION operation.

Infoset: same as above but here we can combine the data
from ODS & Infoobjects only by using JOIN operation.

Yaa you are correct this are all data tgts but when u want
to intersects data from either a ods,infocube or
combination of data tgt taht time u use infoset
when u want to union data from either a ods,infocube or
combination of data tgt taht time u use multiprovider
And infoprovider can be anything like infosets

InfoProviders: These are the objects or views relevant for
reporting.

InfoSets: They are also specific kind of InfoProvider, and
adopts a Join method of DSO, InfoObjects and InfoCubes.
Tcode: RSISET

MultiProviders: Adopts a Union method among many
InfoProviders for analysis purposes. It does not contain any
data.
InfoProviders which contains data are Infocube, InfoObjects
and DSO;
InfoProviders which doesnot contain any data are Virtual
Providers, MultiProviders, InfoSets, Aggregates and Remote
Cubes.
