Answer / gajanan
in socket earth hole is used to earth abnormal current of
circuit or leakage current so this path must have minimun
resistance to reduce abnormal current to zero fastly
and resitivity= Rl/A as A: area increases, resitivity
deacrases and current goes to zero quickly

resistance is directly propotional to the length/area
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 0 Yes | 0 No |
Answer / suraj sanjay bhoite
beacause ,by the formula resistance is directly propotional to the length/area,
means area increases resistance should be decreases

In Electrical socket earth hole is bigger to provide an
easy conducting path for the flow of electrical current
because current will flow from high conductivity/ low
resistivity path.
if any human comes in contact with faulty machine current
will flow from socket not from human boday and thus protect
human from shock.
