- A plant is place where Production/assembling of material
is done as per PP-module, place where Storage/purchasing of
material done as per MM-module and for sales plant is place
where sales are service is provided.
- Storage Location is a place alloted inside a plant for
the purpose of maintaing the stock. The same considered for
all modules (PP, SD, & MM)

The major difference is,
Valuation of the stock will be done at plant level not at
the storage location level.A plant may be having different
storage locations,but when we talk about the valuation of
the stock interms of value (not volume or quantity)it will
be done at PLANT level.

A plant is a manufacturing unit and it is a place where
materials has to be kept.
Storage location is a place in plant, where in materails
has to be stored

Plant is a which the manufacturing is done and products are

Storage location is the place where the products are stored
which are manufactured in the plant
Plant + Shipping point together can be called as a
Delivery plant

Plant is the place of manufacturing the Goods/Products,
where as storage location is the area where the goods/
products so produced are to be kept or stored. Plant is
assigned to the Company Code but storage location is
assigned to the plant.

Storage location may exist in plant itself or a separate godwn
also can be considered as a storage location.
Else if a plant is assigned to ware house then it also can be called as storage location.

storage locations and is not manufacturing unit.

i have a business senario, where the the total weight of all the items ordered should be calculated and if the weight of all the items put together, meets our minimum pre- defined gross weight a fixed discount should be automatically triggeed by system
