WHY HUMMING SOUND OCCURED IN HT TRANSMMISSION LINES ?..

Answer / balaji venkata kumar

Due to the ionization of gas near to the conductors lines
makes the corona effect.Due to corona effect only the sound
is coming on HT lines. Not only sound, conductor lines are
looks like flame blue in colour. The sound is otherwise
called as hissing noise.

WHY HUMMING SOUND OCCURED IN HT TRANSMMISSION LINES ?..

Answer / jeevesh rohilla

corona is ans but these hissing sound is mostly in riny
season because of air surroung the conductor is more
ionised than other season. ov at extra high voltage

WHY HUMMING SOUND OCCURED IN HT TRANSMMISSION LINES ?..

Answer / hitesh tiwari

bECAUSE OF THE CORONA LOSS THE AIR SAROUNDING THE CONDUCTOR
GETS IONIZED AND BECAUSE OF THAT THE MEDIUM BECOMES
CONDUCTIVE AND AFTER THE DISCRUPTIVE CRITICAL LIMIT OF
VOLTAGE WE HEAR HISSING SOUND ALONG WITH VISIUAL CORONA.

WHY HUMMING SOUND OCCURED IN HT TRANSMMISSION LINES ?..

Answer / met

The Corona Effect (the occurrence of bluish aura in the
transmission lines) and the Hissing Sound are both products
of the ionization of the air surrounding the conductors.
The ionization is the result of the interaction of gasses,
usually Nitrogen and other contaminant gasses, with Oxygen.

Answer / suman kalyan

Corona occurs due to ionization of air sorounding the power
conductor. And because of this effect sound occurs

WHY HUMMING SOUND OCCURED IN HT TRANSMMISSION LINES ?..

Answer / sunil kanusu

every conductor produced some magnetic fild arround it. so,
that two conductors were placed nearlry both magnetic filds
of those conductors gets ionised.due this ionisation some
hissing sound produced and also some time blue flame will
produced i.e called CORONA.
