Blueish colour around conductor & Hissing sound is appeared
due to corono

Answer / koti
Plz study corona effect . then u will come to know.
ionisation of gases will happen and causes to move the
electrons randomly in all directiond and collides with
other molecules continuosly causes the humming noise.

Answer / nagaraju
when transmission voltage exceeds 30kv/cm breaking voltage
occurs due to this ionization will take place around the
conductor follwed by hissing noise ,color appearing ,light
glowing finally corona
Is This Answer Correct ? | 11 Yes | 1 No |
Answer / rajesh
whenever voltage in lines exceeds breakdown
voltage(depending on weather ,fouling)the air surrounds
conductor is getting ionized with bluish colour and random
movement of electrons the collision of electron causes a
circulating current in air and produces sound
Is This Answer Correct ? | 9 Yes | 2 No |
Answer / vikrant
corona is basically due to the ionisation of air near the
conductor, whose diameter is very small as compared to the
distance between the conductors.hence air near the
conductor ionises and ozone gas is evolved and it produces
a hissing sound. corona efect can be seen clearly during
night.
