Can we weld hot rolled steel ASTM A615 ?..

A 615 is a high carbon steel. As you have seen in other posts, A615 IS technically weldable, but A615 is not widely welded because of the procedure requirements to weld it.

Generally A706 is specified for weldable rebar to avoid the AWS welding procedures required for A615 rebar.
