why we store only dc in batteries ?
Battery store energy which is produced by basically by chemical reaction. Due to chemical reaction positive and negative ions are liberated from electrodes are deposited using electrolyte. In some electrode looses electrons so becomes positively charged and other electrode gains electrons and hence becomes negatively charged. So it has fixed charge. So when external load is connected across the electrodes DC current will flow
