how to take out quantity of steel used in column and beam?? what is standard formula for it???..

Answer / nadim abdulgafur shaikh

numbers of bar and conditions (i.e end conditions for beam lap length in general drawings etc ) are given in structural drawings
length can be taken in auto cad or by architectural drawings
then
length of 1 bar ( including conditions ) multiply by weight of that diameter of steel into number of bars in structural drawing will give you weight of that member
you can multiply again for identical members

D2( diameter square )/ 162 = weight of bar in 1 meter length
