Logon load balancing is done on ABAP only system through T-code SMLG and in Dual stack it can be done through web dispatcher service

Logon groups are set by using SMLG transaction
during the request message server checks for the least loaded instance in the group,route to that requset to that instance.
Instead of logon groups we specify the instance name the request goes to particular instance only.here no load balancing occur
