You can enter default values for operation and sub-operations in work centers. The default values are then copied when you assign the work center to the operation or sub-operation.
By entering default values you reduce the effort necessary in editing operations, since the values are stored centrally and you do not need to enter them in each operation.
Default values in work centers are for instance:
Wage type and wage group
Control key
Standard text key
Suitability
Setup type key
Activity type
Units for the standard values

The following rules apply when transfering default values to an operation at a work center:
If the control keys for the old and new work centers...
then...
do not agree
all values from the old work center are deleted. Only the values from the new work center or the values from the dialog box Work Center Default Values are copied during replacement.
agree
the values from the new work center or the values from the dialog box Work Center Default Values are copied during replacement. The fields left empty are filled with values from the old work center.
