Because in India we have 3000 rpm turbines only that's reason why in India frequency is 50hz

we know that f = PN/120=2*3000/120=50hz
But in case of america..... countries they have 3600 rpm tubines so frequency is 60hz based on above formula.

All power plants in India are using turbines of 3000rpm
