what will happen?(for example instead of 400V we give 250V
supply)

sry...for that wrong ans.......for
low voltage(1 phase - 230 volt)
operation! IM needs some mechanical
machine to start the motor but while
in high voltage(3 phase - 440 volt)
their is no any requirement like in
low voltage.....so........because
in high voltage rmf is generate to
start the motor

as u know that IM run only because
of rmf .....rmf is produce because
of 120degree phase difference
between r;y;b......in 1phase i.e at
230volt no rmf is generate so.....!
IM can't run.......

1.Whats the use of GNAC(Generator Neutral Accessory Compartment) 2. why generator or any other system require Neutral Grounding and not Phase grounding 3. what happens if any one of the phase is grounded. 4. if 15kv is grounded directly what will happen, why it should not be grounded like that 5. use of of NGTR(Neutral Grounding Transformer and Resistor) for grounding is helpfull and how

When i went to a interview the interviewer ask me a question for that i cant able to answer him if anyone knows answer me How will you design a capacitor bank for a plant? if my p.f is 0.6 i have to improve it to 0.9 or 1 what kind of steps i have to do? and is there any formula for calculating this?
please tell me the all the spcications of the 100MW 11KV HYDEL POWER PLANT SPECICATIONS
what happenes if the core of the transformer saturates?
An 8 pole, 50 Hz, 3-phase IM is loaded to a poing where pull out torque will occur. The rotor resistance per phase is 0.3 ohm and motor stalls at 650 rpm. The rotor reactance at stand still is A 2 ohm B 1.25 ohm C 3.15 ohm D 2.25 ohm
i have seen a picture of a power plant. in that pic. i saw chimney like giant structure which were spreading smoke like something...i want to know is it chimney or cooling towers, as my friends use to say.
Could explain briefly of over excitation in transformer.
what is saturation? what role it plays in operation of ct's,motors etc and how its affects the behaviour of the same.
what is the use of commutator in dc motor if we supply ac ? commutator is used to convert ac to dc.and it is used to arrange the flux in unidirectional in case of dc supply. if we give ac as supply to dc motor what is the use of commutator?
What is acsr cable and where we use it?
what do u understand about FACTS? how they are useful?
