when the core of the transformer become saturated the output
voltage will remain the same in the average value even if the input increase another issue .. if the core become saturated
the output voltage will be distortion in shape which lead to harmonics.

if core is saturated the third hormonics is generated.
core is not balanced.so EMF induced in the transformer is
not balace.

when transformer core gets saturated
It losses its magnetizing properties and it will not allow
any flux to pass through it... hence there is not flux cut
by the windings... hence no induced emf in the winding.
finally the transformer action will not be there...
